For the upper, New Balance relies on a familiar combination of mesh and shiny synthetic leather overlays. Technical features of the Runner include the signature NLock system and a striking heel counter. The M1906R features a N-ergy outsole, ACTEVA LITE midsole and ABZORB SBS cushioning, and shares its outsole with the equally popular 2002R and 860 V2.
